June 19, 2025 (MLN): The benchmark KSE-100 Index concluded Thursday's trading session at 120,002.59, showing a decrease of 463.34 points or 0.38%.

The index traded in a range of 1,975.27 points showing an intraday high of 121,745.30 (+1,279.37) and a low of 119,770.03 (-695.90) points.

The total volume of the KSE-100 Index was 134.10 million shares.

 

Of the 100 index companies 25 closed up, 73 closed down, while 2 were unchanged.

Top losers during the day were PKGP (-10.00%), AGL (-7.97%), IBFL (-6.05%), FCEPL (-4.16%), and PGLC (-4.01%).

On the other hand, top gainers were YOUW (+8.74%), HMB (+2.02%), NPL (+1.90%), UBL (+1.27%), and AKBL (+1.01%).

 

In terms of index-point contributions, companies that dragged the index lower were PKGP (-109.93pts), EFERT (-63.58pts), ENGROH (-49.97pts), LUCK (-46.81pts), and MARI (-40.44pts).

Meanwhile, companies that added points to the index were UBL (+98.96pts), BAHL (+38.74pts), MCB (+33.85pts), HMB (+31.47pts), and FFC (+26.57pts).

 

Sector-wise, KSE-100 Index was let down by Power Generation & Distribution (-120.82pts), Cement (-106.53pts), Oil & Gas Exploration Companies (-75.81pts), Pharmaceuticals (-62.99pts), and Inv. Banks / Inv. Cos. / Securities Cos. (-62.28pts).

While the index was supported by Commercial Banks (+153.41pts), Oil & Gas Marketing Companies (+22.08pts), Technology & Communication (+4.07pts), Paper, Board & Packaging (+3.56pts), and Textile Weaving (+1.02pts).

 

In the broader market, the All-Share Index closed at 74,892.12 with a net loss of 447.69 points or 0.59%.

Total market volume was 604.54 million shares compared to 707.29m from the previous session while traded value was recorded at Rs20.44 billion showing a decrease of Rs0.83bn.

There were 286,644 trades reported in 459 companies with 155 closing up, 269 closing down, and 35 remaining unchanged.

 To note, the KSE-100 has gained 41,558 points or 52.98% during the fiscal year, whereas it has increased 4,876 points or 4.24% so far this calendar year.
