January 29, 2026 (MLN): The benchmark KSE-100 Index concluded Thursday's trading session at 182,338.12, showing a decrease of 6,042.26 points or 3.21%.

The index traded in a range of 6,962.25 points showing an intraday high of 188,923.39 (+543.01) and a low of 181,961.14 (-6,419.24) points.

The total volume of the KSE-100 Index was 413.82 million shares.

 

Of the 100 index companies 3 closed up, 96 closed down, while 1 were unchanged.

Top losers during the day were FFC (-9.93%), PTC (-5.64%), ILP (-5.03%), THALL (-4.83%), and ATRL (-4.50%).

On the other hand, top gainers were MEHT (+0.74%), PKGS (+0.20%), RMPL (+0.01%), IBFL (+0.00%), and GLAXO (-0.06%).

 

In terms of index-point contributions, companies that dragged the index lower were FFC (-1902.42pts), UBL (-412.76pts), ENGROH (-369.53pts), OGDC (-256.64pts), and HUBC (-214.09pts).

Meanwhile, companies that added points to the index were MEHT (+1.66pts), PKGS (+1.48pts), RMPL (+0.01pts), IBFL (+0.00pts), and PGLC (-0.03pts).

 

Sector-wise, KSE-100 Index was let down by Fertilizer (-2020.10pts), Commercial Banks (-1092.42pts), Oil & Gas Exploration Companies (-681.21pts), Cement (-454.39pts), and Inv. Banks / Inv. Cos. / Securities Cos. (-382.64pts).

While the index was supported by Paper, Board & Packaging (+1.48pts), Synthetic & Rayon (+0.00pts), Leasing Companies (-0.03pts), Textile Weaving (-0.08pts), and Woollen (-0.35pts).

 

In the broader market, the All-Share Index closed at 109,608.81 with a net loss of 3,023.76 points or 2.68%.

Total market volume was 933.10 million shares compared to 953.92m from the previous session while traded value was recorded at Rs66.41 billion showing an increase of Rs17.54bn.

There were 593,604 trades reported in 487 companies with 83 closing up, 364 closing down, and 40 remaining unchanged.

To note, the KSE-100 has gained 56,711 points or 45.14% during the fiscal year, whereas it has increased 8,284 points or 4.76% so far this calendar year.
