PPL boosts gas processing capacity at Gambat South GPF-II

November 11 (MLN): Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PSX: PPL) has successfully enhanced the gas processing capacity of its Gambat South Gas Processing Facility (GPF-II) in Sanghar district, Sindh.

The facility, operated by PPL with a 65% working interest alongside joint venture partners GHPL (25%) and AROL (10%), has increased its handling capacity to 60 MMscfd of raw gas.

Originally commissioned in 2016 with a design capacity of 50 MMscfd, GPF-II was optimized in 2021-22 to process 55 MMscfd.

The latest increase to 60 MMscfd has been achieved through Amine sweetening process optimization by introducing a proprietary additive to the existing MDEA solvent system, without any hardware modifications.

The enhancement is expected to generate incremental production of approximately 5 MMscfd of gas, 35 barrels per day of condensate, and 1 metric ton of LPG.

PPL said this milestone reflects its commitment to operational excellence, resource maximization, and cost-effective domestic hydrocarbon production.

This achievement comes as part of PPL’s ongoing initiatives to optimize existing facilities, improve efficiency, and create value for stakeholders while minimizing costs.

The disclosure is made in compliance with Section 96 of the Securities Act, 2015 and relevant PSX regulations.
