May 22, 2026 (MLN): Pakistan-China relations are poised for monumental business and strategic impacts in the near future, a development that will be further spotlighted as Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is set to lead a high-level delegation to Beijing.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs People's Republic of China stated that the visit is set from 23rd May to 26th May.

Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb highlighted the financial milestones currently cementing this bilateral partnership. He emphasized that the government has officially tapped into Chinese capital markets for the first time by launching its inaugural Panda Bond last week, according to Radio Pakistan.

Reflecting on the broader evolution of the countries' economic cooperation, Finance Minister Aurangzeb outlined the shifting trajectory of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). While the first phase of the mega-project was heavily concentrated on foundational infrastructure development, the Finance Minister noted that fostering robust business-to-business (B2B) ties will be the hallmark of CPEC's second phase.
