PKR remains flat against USD

November 27, 2025 (MLN): The Pakistani rupee (PKR) increased by 0.72 paisa against the US dollar in Thursday's interbank session to settle the trade at PKR 280.55 per USD, compared to previous closing of 280.56.

Throughout the day, the currency saw an intraday high (bid) of 281.40 and a low (ask) of 281.60.

In the open market, exchange companies quoted the dollar at 281.35 for buying and 281.60 for selling.

In comparison to major currencies, PKR fell 31.43 paisa or 0.10% against the Euro, closing at 325.12 compared to the previous value of 324.81.

Against the British Pound, PKR depreciated by 1.25 rupees or 0.34% to 371.14 compared to 369.89 a day ago.

The local unit fell 42.33 paisa or 0.12% against Swiss franc to close at 348.45.

Against the Japanese Yen, PKR's value deteriorated 0.27 paisa or 0.15% to close the session at 1.7962 versus 1.7935 a day ago.

Pakistani Rupee strengthened 1.30 paisa or 0.03% against Chinese Yuan to close at 39.62 from 39.63.

The local currency rose by 0.39 paisa or 0.01% against Saudi Riyal to 74.80. While it gained by 1.14 paisa or 0.01% against the U.A.E Dirham to close at 76.39.

During the current fiscal year, PKR has increased against the US Dollar by 3.21 rupees or 1.14%. While it has decreased 2.00 rupees or 0.71% so far this calendar year.

In the Money Market, the benchmark 6 Month Karachi Interbank Bid and Offer rates inched down by 1bps to 10.93% and 11.18%.
