PKR inches up by 1.05 paisa against USD

November 06, 2025 (MLN): The Pakistani rupee (PKR) appreciated by 1.05 paisa against the US dollar in Thursday's interbank session to settle the trade at PKR 280.85 per USD, compared to previous closing of 280.86.

Throughout the day, the currency saw an intraday high (bid) of 281.00 and a low (ask) of 281.90.

In the open market, exchange companies quoted the dollar at 281.50 for buying and 281.90 for selling.

In comparison to major currencies, PKR fell 53.55 paisa or 0.17% against the Euro, closing at 323.36 compared to the previous value of 322.83.

Against the British Pound, PKR depreciated by 73.05 paisa or 0.20% to 366.94 compared to 366.21 a day ago.

The local unit weakened 26.59 paisa or 0.08% against Swiss franc to close at 347.29.

Against the Japanese Yen, PKR's value rose 0.15 paisa or 0.08% to close the session at 1.8269 versus 1.8284 a day ago.

Pakistani Rupee decreased 1.96 paisa or 0.05% against Chinese Yuan to close at 39.43 from 39.41.

The local currency gained by 0.28 paisa or 0.00% against Saudi Riyal to 74.89. While it gained by 0.29 paisa or 0.00% against the U.A.E Dirham to close at 76.46.

During the current fiscal year, PKR has strengthened against the US Dollar by 2.91 rupees or 1.04%. While it has depreciated 2.30 rupees or 0.82% so far this calendar year.

In the Money Market, the benchmark 6 Month Karachi Interbank Bid and Offer rates inched up by 1bps to 10.94% and 11.19%.
