Nestle Pakistan profit surges 15%, declares Rs78 dividend

October 16, 2025 (MLN): Nestle Pakistan Limited (PSX: NESTLE) reported a profit after tax of Rs14.1bn for the nine months ended September 30, 2025, up 14.7% from Rs12.3bn in the corresponding period last year.

Earnings per share increased to Rs310.81 compared to Rs270.91 in 9MFY24, showing strong operational performance.

The company revealed an interim cash dividend of Rs78 per share (780%) for the period, rewarding shareholders amid robust profitability.

Net sales rose 1.06% YoY to Rs150.8bn from Rs149.2bn, driven by modest revenue growth during the period.

Cost of goods sold declined 2.41% to Rs93.6bn from Rs95.9bn, demonstrating effective cost management.

Gross profit expanded 7.31% to Rs57.2bn against Rs53.3bn in 9MFY24. The gross margin improved notably to 37.9% from 35.7% in the prior year period, indicating enhanced operational efficiency and better cost control.

Distribution and selling expenses increased 2.39% to Rs24.8bn, while administrative expenses rose 16.60% to Rs5.4bn from Rs4.6bn last year.

Operating profit climbed 10.44% to Rs27bn from Rs24.5bn in 9MFY24.

Finance costs decreased significantly by 80.17% to Rs453m from Rs2.3bn, providing substantial relief to the bottom line.

Other expenses surged 48.47% to Rs2.6bn from Rs1.8bn. Other income grew 15.08% to Rs409 million from Rs355 million in the prior period.

The company recorded a profit before income tax of Rs24.3bn, up 16.84% from Rs20.8bn in 9MFY24.

Profit before final tax, minimum tax differential and income tax stood at Rs24.4bn, representing a 17.27% increase from Rs20.8bn last year.

Income tax expense rose 19.92% to Rs10.2bn from Rs8.5bn in the prior period.

The company concluded 9MFY25 with a net profit of Rs14.1bn, delivering a net profit margin of 9.3% compared to 8.2% in 9MFY24, marking a solid improvement in profitability.

Final tax amounted to a credit of Rs24.8m in 9MFY24, while the company recorded a minimum tax differential credit of Rs116m in 9MFY25.
