SCRA balance increases Rs836m amid net buying

October 16, 2025 (MLN): The SCRA (Special Convertible Rupee Account) balance rose by Rs835.7 million during the week ending October 10, 2025, closing at Rs30.52bn.

According to data released by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the week saw net buying of securities amounting to Rs15.86bn.

Total inflows into SCRA stood at Rs39.43bn, comprising inward remittances of Rs21.54bn, securities sales of Rs17.43bn, and dividends of Rs454.84m.

Meanwhile, total outflows were recorded at Rs38.59bn, including outward remittances of Rs5.07bn, securities purchases of Rs33.29bn, and tax payments totaling Rs231.85m.

The market value of investments changed as follows:

Equity: decreased by Rs25.25bn to Rs743.03bn

T-Bills: increased by Rs17.72bn to Rs64.45bn

PIBs: rose by Rs3.01bn to Rs21.61bn
