Meezan Bank debit cardholders to enjoy exclusive PIA travel benefits

January 14, 2026 (MLN): Meezan Bank Limited (PSX: MEBL) has entered into a strategic partnership with Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) to enhance travel convenience and offer exclusive benefits to Meezan Bank debit cardholders.

The agreement was signed in Karachi by Dr. Syed Amir Ali, President and Chief Executive Officer of Meezan Bank, and Mr. Nousherwan Adil, Chief Commercial Officer of PIA, in the presence of senior officials from both organizations.

Under the partnership, Meezan Bank Debit Cardholders will be able to book PIA flights using their debit cards and avail exclusive discounts, ensuring a smooth, secure, and convenient payment experience.

The collaboration emphasizes both institutions’ commitment to improving customer facilitation through strategic alliances and innovative digital payment solutions, according to a press release issued.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Dr. Syed Amir Ali said the partnership aligns with Meezan Bank’s focus on delivering efficient, Shariah-compliant banking solutions while enhancing customer convenience.

He added that collaborations with leading organizations such as PIA help strengthen payment infrastructure, expand acceptance channels, and improve service accessibility.

Mr. Nousherwan Adil, Chief Commercial Officer of PIA, said the partnership reflects the airline’s ongoing efforts to enhance customer convenience and provide seamless travel experiences.

He noted that while PIA continues to collaborate with multiple financial institutions, this initiative offers Meezan Bank Debit Cardholders added value and a smoother booking process.

Meezan Bank was represented by Mr. Ahmed Ali Siddiqui, Group Head  Consumer Finance; Mr. Rahil Sayani, Head of Acquiring, Loyalty & Alliances; and Mr. Abid Malik, Head of Cards, Unsecured Financing & New Initiatives.

PIA’s delegation included Mr. S. M. Fahim, General Manager Digital Marketing, and Mr. Afesh Akhter, Manager Alliances.
