Major Solar installation completed at Kohinoor Mills facility

September 16, 2025 (MLN): Kohinoor Mills Limited has completed a major step in its commitment to sustainable energy, successfully installing a 4.5 megawatt (MW) solar renewable energy system at its manufacturing facility in Kasur.

The new solar installation represents a significant portion of the company's total planned 7.2 MW project.

The remaining 2.7 MW installation is slated for completion before the end of the second quarter of the current financial year.

The company projects that the new system will allow it to fulfill more than 20% of its total operational energy requirements through this renewable source.

This move is expected to generate cost savings and reduce the nation's reliance on imported fuels.
