Lucky Motors unveils GAC electric vehicle lineup

May 20, 2026 (MLN): Lucky Motor Corporation has officially introduced Chinese electric vehicle giant GAC Group in Pakistan, marking a major development in the country’s rapidly evolving EV landscape.

Booking amounts for GAC’s upcoming electric vehicle lineup have been declared, with the Aion UT available for Rs1m, Aion V for Rs1.5m, Hyper HT Wing Version for Rs2.5m, Hyper HT for Rs2m, while bookings for the Aion ES will be revealed soon.

The company has also disclosed ex-factory prices for the vehicles, with the Aion UT priced at Rs6.399m, Aion V at Rs8.899m, Hyper HT Wing Version at Rs13.999m, and Hyper HT at Rs11.999m.

GAC Group, a Fortune 500 automaker and China’s top-ranked manufacturer in the JD Power Quality Survey, is entering Pakistan’s EV market through an exclusive partnership with Lucky Motor Corporation (LMC), a subsidiary of Lucky Cement Limited.

The partnership is expected to strengthen Pakistan’s formal EV ecosystem by offering customers official warranties, spare parts availability, and access to an authorized dealership and after-sales network, areas that have remained a challenge for imported EV buyers in the local market.

LMC currently manufactures and distributes Kia and Peugeot vehicles in Pakistan and is considered one of the country’s leading automotive assemblers with an established nationwide dealership network.

The development comes as competition in Pakistan’s electric vehicle segment intensifies, with automakers increasingly expanding their footprint to capitalize on rising consumer interest in EVs.
