June 20, 2025 (MLN): Ishaq Dar to Represent Pakistan at OIC Foreign Ministers' Meeting in Istanbul

During the plenary session, Dar will present Pakistan’s stance on key regional and global developments, including the post-ceasefire dynamics in South Asia between Pakistan and India, and the deteriorating situation in the Middle East following Israel’s recent strikes against Iran and other regional states.

Reaffirming Pakistan’s longstanding support for the Palestinian cause, Dar will call for urgent humanitarian assistance for Gaza and underline the importance of achieving lasting peace in the region.

The Deputy Prime Minister is also expected to emphasize Pakistan’s commitment to the OIC’s founding principles and highlight the growing challenges faced by the Muslim world, including the surge in Islamophobia, extremism, terrorism, and climate change.

On the sidelines of the session, Dar will hold bilateral meetings with foreign ministers of fellow OIC member states to discuss mutual cooperation and shared concerns.

Before the ministerial session, he will attend the OIC Youth Forum’s Grand Youth Award ceremony, which will honor Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for his contributions to the Muslim world.
