International Packaging Films' subsidiary launches Right Issue

May 21, 2026 (MLN): International Packaging Films Limited's (PSX:IPAK) subsidiary Petpak Films (Private) Limited has approved a Right Issue of approximately Rs2.13 billion through the issuance of ordinary shares at par value of Rs10 per share.

The move, aimed at restructuring debt and optimizing Petpak Films' capital structure, will see shares offered to existing shareholders in proportion to their current holdings  with International Packaging Films Limited holding a 52% stake and minority shareholders accounting for the remaining 48%.

Should any portion of the Right Issue remain unsubscribed by existing shareholders, other subsidiaries within the Company's Group may step in to cover the unsubscribed portion, subject to requisite regulatory and legal approvals.

Upon completion of the transaction, International Packaging Films Limited's effective Group holding in Petpak Films  commonly referred to as PPAK  could rise from the current 52% to approximately 61.6%, depending on the final level of subscription by existing shareholders and related entities.
