September 30, 2025 (MLN): Gul Ahmed Textile Mills Limited (PSX: GATM) reported its financial results for the fiscal year ended 2025, revealing a mixed performance characterized by growth in its top-line but a contraction in its bottom-line profitability.

According to the financial data, GATM’s revenue from contracts with customers grew by 7.57%, reaching Rs185.54bn in FY25, up from Rs172.48bn in FY24.

This growth was accompanied by a rise in the cost of sales, which increased by 6.77% over the same period.

While gross profit grew by a notable 11.60% to Rs32.08bn, the company's profitability margins experienced a slight dip.

The gross profit margin improved to 17.29% in FY25 from 16.66% in FY24, indicating effective management of production costs. However, the net profit margin contracted to 2.40% in FY25 from 2.81% in the previous year.

This contraction contributed to a decline in the company's final profit. The profit for the year saw a drop of -8.19%, settling at Rs4.45bn from Rs4.85bn.

The decline was also influenced by factors such as a significant decrease in other income and an increase in finance costs.

As a result, the earnings per share (EPS) for the company also saw a decline of -8.23%, falling to Rs6.02 in FY25 from Rs6.56 in FY24.
