Gold moves up by Rs50 to close at Rs108,900

July 14, 2021 (MLN): Gold rates witnessed a meager increment today as the price of 24-karat per tola inched up by Rs50 to close at Rs108,900 in domestic bullion market.

Similarly, the price of 10-gram of 24k gold reached to Rs93,364 , marking an uptick of Rs43 while the 10gm 22k gold stood at Rs85,583, as per data reported by the All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association.

Unlike gold, the price of 24-Karat silver per tola and 10-gram silver remained stagnant at Rs1,440 and Rs1,234.56, respectively.

Meanwhile, demand for gold in international market kept surging on the back of robust U.S. inflation numbers which enhanced the metal’s appeal by $9 to close at $1,817 per ounce. Silver was valued at $26.21 an ounce.
