FFC, Engro drive urea sales past last September's total

September 29, 2026 (MLN): Urea sales in the country reached 527,000 tons during September 1-26, 2026, already exceeding the full-month sales of 428,000 tons in September 2025 by around 23%, with a few days of the month still remaining.

Topline Securities said in its fertilizer alert on X platform that the figures are tentative.

According to the brokerage, Fauji Fertilizer Company Limited (FFC) led the industry with sales of 218,000 tons, followed by Engro at 193,000 tons, Fatima at 92,000 tons and Agritech at 25,000 tons.

On the inventory side, industry urea stocks stood at 640,000 tons, with Engro holding 500,000 tons and FFC 100,000 tons.

Fertilizer consumption in Pakistan witnessed weak performance in August 2026, as overall nutrient offtake decreased by 15.2% year-on-year to 450,000 tonnes.

In August, urea offtake was at 701,000 tonnes, registering a decrease of 14.2% compared to the same month last year. Similarly, DAP consumption decreased by 7.9%, to 126,000 tonnes.
