Engro Powergen Qadirpur secures low BTU gas supply from Badar field

October 31, 2025 (MLN): Engro Powergen Qadirpur Limited (PSX:EPQL) has executed a Supplemental Agreement with Central Power Purchasing Agency (Guarantee) Limited (CPPA-G) to add low BTU gas from the Badar gas field as an additional fuel source for its power plant.

The agreement, signed on August 19, 2025, enables the company to utilize gas with a heating value of 8-13 mmscfd, which will be supplied by Petroleum Exploration Limited (PEL Gas), according to the company’s filling on PSX today.

This arrangement supplements the company's existing Power Purchase Agreement.

The supplemental arrangement provides Engro Powergen Qadirpur with greater fuel flexibility for its power generation operations.
