EMCO earns ISO accreditation for high voltage lab

November 06, 2025 (MLN): Being only one of its kind, HVLAB is Pakistan’s highest voltage laboratory with the capability of 1800kV Impulse level and 600kV Power Frequency level.

EMCO’s High Voltage and Mechanical Testing (HVMT) Laboratory has now successfully completed the full assessment conducted by the Pakistan National Accreditation Council (PNAC).

As a result, the HVMT Laboratory is officially recognized as an ISO/IEC 17025 Accredited Independent Testing Service Provider.

EMCO Industries Limited, a public listed company incorporated in 1954, is the market leader in the manufacturing and supply of high voltage porcelain transmission line insulators, switchgears, and substation equipment for the Pakistan market, as well as for various export markets.

This milestone follows EMCO’s earlier material information issued on April 1, 2024, announcing the commissioning of its state-of-the-art High Voltage Laboratory (HVLAB) in October 2023.

This accreditation affirms the laboratory’s technical competence and operational integrity in conducting high voltage and mechanical testing in accordance with international standards.

This achievement enhances EMCO’s capability to offer reliable, third-party testing services to the power sector and other industrial clients, further strengthening its position in the market.

This development is expected to contribute positively to EMCO Industries’ reputation and business prospects.
