Dewan Farooque Motors begins production of longer-range EVs for eco-green motors

July 10, 2025 (MLN): Dewan Farooque Motors Limited (PSX: DFML) has commenced manufacturing and assembly of electric vehicles with an extended range of 300 kilometers under its toll manufacturing agreement with Eco-Green Motors Limited (EGML), the company announced in a notice to the Pakistan Stock Exchange on Thursday.

This marks a significant step up from DFML’s earlier production of 200 km range electric vehicles for EGML, disclosed in May 2024.

The move broadens the scope of DFML’s collaboration with Eco-Green Motors and underscores the automaker’s growing footprint in Pakistan’s emerging electric vehicle sector.

“We are pleased to inform you that in addition to 200 KM range electric vehicles, Dewan Farooque Motors Limited has now commenced manufacturing/assembling of 300 KM range electric vehicles for Eco-Green Motors Limited,” the company said in its statement, attributing the milestone to the “grace of Almighty Allah” and expressing gratitude to stakeholders for their continued trust.

DFML’s announcement comes amid Pakistan’s broader push to accelerate EV adoption, supported by fiscal incentives and policies aimed at reducing the country’s carbon footprint.

The production of higher-range electric vehicles positions both DFML and EGML to capitalize on rising local demand for sustainable mobility solutions.
