Daewoo Express raises Rs2bn in first Sukuk

December 31, 2025 (MLN): Daewoo Express Bus Services Pakistan Limited has closed its first short-term Sukuk, raising Rs2.0bn.
Pak Oman Investment Company Limited acted as the joint lead
financial arranger and advisor for the transaction, according to the press release.
Legal counsel was provided by Mohsin Tayabally &
Company, while Al Hilal Shariah Advisors served as the Shariah advisor.
The Sukuk was rated by Pakistan Credit Rating Agency
(PACRA).
The issue saw participation from institutional investors
including National Investment Trust (NIT), Alfalah Investments, NBP Funds
Limited, AKD Investment Management Limited, Pak Qatar Asset Management Company
Limited, and 786 Investments Limited.
