October 16, 2025 (MLN): Pakistan’s leading telecom operator CMPak and Huawei have recently completed the commercial deployment of FDD 8x120W ultra-wideband high-power solution.

This network upgrade represents a major leap forward in both performance and energy efficiency, marking a significant milestone in the development of Pakistan's telecommunications industry, reported APP.

The GigaGreen 8T ultra-wideband high-power solution offers significant advantages over the conventional two-set 4T deployments. By leveraging high integration and advanced materials and manufacturing technologies, the new device is up to 44% lighter and 47% smaller.

These upgrades reduce wind surface area and pole load requirements, while also simplifying transportation, installation, and maintenance.

In addition to delivering equivalent or even superior coverage, the new solution reduces overall energy consumption by 37% compared to the original setup.

This breakthrough substantially lowers OPEX and enables CMPak to achieve its targets for energy saving, emissions reduction, and sustainable development.

Faced with the rapid development of Pakistan's digital society and economy, CMPak identified the limitations of existing network devices.

In partnership with Huawei, the unique true wideband and intelligent hybrid beam forming technologies can significantly improve the spectral efficiency. Compared with traditional 4T networks, downlink capacity has nearly doubled, effectively alleviating network congestion. These enhancements continuously improve the user experience, with notable gains in user-perceived speed and service quality.

CMPak remains dedicated to providing superior telecommunication services for Pakistan. This deployment with Huawei is not only a technological innovation, but a crucial step in the transition to a"intelligent, green and efficient" network.

By building a more resilient communication foundation with lower energy consumption and lower costs, CMPak is empowering users with faster, more stable, and more reliable connectivity. This initiative underscores a key advancement in Pakistan’s journey toward network modernisation and sustainable growth.
