Bolan Casting resumes plant operations as power supply restored

August 3, 2022 (MLN): Bolan Castings Limited (BCL) has resumed its production activities from today i.e., August 03, 2022 as the electricity supply in the District Lasbela / Hub city and its adjoining industrial areas has been restored.

On July 28, 2022, the management of Bolan Castings Limited decided to shut down the manufacturing plant of the company till the restoration of the electricity supply in the area.

The abnormal discharge of water from the Hub dam's spillways had caused flooding in the Hub River that had uprooted the extra high-tension tower of the 132 KV transmission line, installed in the mid of the Hub River. This had, in turn, resulted in the complete power outage in the District Lasbela / Hub city and its adjoining industrial areas.

Therefore, the management had to shut down the manufacturing plant of the company.
