2nd Unit of 108 MW Golan Gol Hydelpower to start producing electricity next month

According to a briefing by Project Director, Second unit of Golan Gol Hydel Power Project in district Chitral will start functioning next month. The project is currently adding 36 MW electricity to the national grid.
Furthermore, with the start of second unit the project would contribute a total of 72MW electricity to the grid.
According to the Project Director, Muhammad Javed Afridi, the third and last unit of the project will be completed in August this year.
He said that with the functioning of all three units of the project, Golan Gol Hydro Project will generate a total of one hundred and eight megawatt electricity for the national grid.
