Yearly Inflation rate slows in April to 4.78 Percent from 4.94 Percent in March

Inflation for the month of April was 4.78 percent, lower compared to March level of 4.94 percent but higher compared with the market expectation of 4.34 percent. Inflation rose sharply on higher petroleum prices, gas prices, tomato and daily items used by the consumers.

The inflation rate for the period of July to April reached 4.09 percent, said Pakistan Bureau of Statistics.
