Yearly Inflation at 3.93 Percent in June

According to Pakistan Bureau of Statistics data inflation in June 2017 reached at 3.93 percent compared with 5.02 percent of May 2017. Inflation during July to June 2016-17 increased to 4.15 percent.

The MoM change in the Inflation numbers against June 2016 stood at 3.93 percent.

The inflation declined by 0.41percent when compared to tha ton May 2017.

Fruits and vegetables were the key basket ingredients which added to the monthly inflation. Bananas and tomatoes rose by 29percent and 9percent simaltaneously.

Based on the inflation data, experts predict the SBP will continue to the hold the rate at 6.25percent for the rest of the year.
