K-Electric’s K-Solar rebrands as K Nova to expand renewable energy portfolio

September 28, 2026 (MLN): K-Solar, a wholly owned subsidiary of K-Electric’s investment arm KE Ventures Company (Pvt) Limited, has been renamed K Nova as the company broadens its operations into an end-to-end renewable energy solutions platform.

The rebranding takes effect from today and forms part of K-Electric’s broader diversification strategy under its new Board and Management. The company is expanding beyond conventional power distribution to develop a wider energy ecosystem focused on renewable energy and related solutions.

Under its expanded mandate, K Nova will focus on solar and wind energy, energy storage and energy management solutions through various financing models. The initiative is aimed at supporting energy security, sustainability and value creation for customers and shareholders.

Hashim Raza, CEO of K Nova, said the expanded business scope would allow the company to pursue new opportunities under its new identity.

He said the timing of the rebranding aligns with the national direction toward making Pakistan’s energy sector more resilient, sustainable and affordable.

K Nova will cater to commercial, industrial and residential customers, as well as utility partners across Pakistan, with a focus on smarter, reliable and sustainable energy solutions.

The company is also partnering with leading global original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in solar, wind and battery technologies. These partnerships are expected to facilitate the transfer of advanced technologies to Pakistan, create local employment opportunities and support the development of localized products and solutions.
