Work on widening of road from KKH to Astore begins

Work on widening Astore valley road has been started.

Official sources said that in the first phase twenty KM road from Karakorum Highway to Astor will be completed at a cost of Rs 280 million in two years. Work on 28 km road will be initiated in the second phase.

The project after completion will not only meet long pending demand of the people but also promote tourism and socio economic activity in the district.
