Weekly SPI inches up by 0.53 percent

February 15, 2019 (MLN): Pakistan’s weekly SPI for the combined group increased by 0.53 percent compared to the previous week (Feb 8, 2019) and increased by 9.85% percent compared to the corresponding period from last year (Feb 15, 2018).

According to official figures released by Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS), the largest SPI growth over the week was recorded by the income group Rs.12001 – 18000, that of 0.56%.

Similarly, the largest SPI growth over the year was recorded by the largest income group (Rs.35000 above), that of 14.3%.

Out of the 53 monitored items, the average price of 12 items rose, 10 items registered decline whereas the remaining 31 items recorded no change
