September 27, 2024 (MLN): The net sale of securities for the week ended September 20, 2024 clocked in at Rs2.08bn, as compared to a net sale worth Rs158.99 million recorded last week, according to a weekly report on Specially Convertible Rupee Accounts (SCRA) released by the State Bank of Pakistan.

During the week, the gross sale of securities was recorded at Rs14.07bn, which is around 76.98% higher than the figures recorded last week.

Similarly, the total purchase of securities stood at Rs11.99bn, which is 53.86% higher than the prior week, resulting in a net sale of Rs2.08bn for the week.

Over the week, the overall purchase of securities increased by Rs4.2bn while the net sale of securities increased by Rs6.12bn.

Apart from this, the inflow of remittance into these accounts stood at Rs3.43bn, while its outflow has been reported at Rs4.06bn.

The closing balance of SCRA was recorded at Rs27.96bn, which marks a rise of Rs2.08bn over the week.
