Weekly SCRA records net sale of Rs1.07bn

August 08, 2024 (MLN): The net sale of securities for the week ended August 02, 2024 clocked in at Rs1.07bn, as compared to a net purchase worth Rs18.47bn recorded last week, according to a weekly report on Specially Convertible Rupee Accounts (SCRA) released by the State Bank of Pakistan.

During the week, the gross sale of securities was recorded at Rs8.79bn, which is around 67.87% lower than the figures recorded last week.

Similarly, the total purchase of securities stood at Rs7.72bn, which is 83.16% lower than the prior week, resulting in a net sale of Rs1.07bn for the week.

Over the week, the overall purchase of securities decreased by Rs38.11bn while the net sale of securities decreased by Rs18.57bn.

Apart from this, the inflow of remittance into these accounts stood at Rs3.69bn, while its outflow has been reported at Rs5.11bn.

The closing balance of SCRA was recorded at Rs25.9bn, which marks a decline of Rs521.93m over the week.
