Unity foods rectifies its capacity figures in latest notification

October 11, 2018 (MLN): Unity Foods limited in its latest notification has stated that in their announcement dated August 31 2018, the company had announced its plans to expand its oil refining capacity. The company highlighted that due to an error the capacities were incorrectly stated.

It was inadvertently erroneously stated in the letter that the existing oil refining capacity of the company is 150,000 metric tons per year of edible oil while under the proposed plan an existing refinery with a capacity of 500,000 metric tons per year is being considered for acquisitions.

The actual capacity of the existing oil refinery of the company is 150 tons per day (which translates into an annual capacity of 54000 metric tons) while the capacity of the plant that is under consideration for acquisition has a capacity of 500 tons per day (which translates into an annual capacity of 180000 metric tons)

The company stated that these figures were correctly stated in the Annual Reports dated June 30, 2018.
