Thatta Cement adds 4.8 MW wind energy at Sindh plant

April 04, 2025 (MLN): Thatta Cement Company Limited (PSX: THCCL) has declared the successful completion and commissioning of its 4.8 MW wind power project at the Company's plant in Thatta, Sindh.

This marks a significant milestone for the Company, as the project was completed well ahead of schedule and commenced operations on April 3, 2025.

With this achievement, the Company's total installed capacity from renewable energy sources now stands at 9.8 MW, comprising a 4.8 MW wind power plant and a 5 MW solar installation.

This expansion in renewable energy has significantly strengthened Thatta Cement's commitment to sustainable environmental practices, the notification issued to the local bourse.

The Company stated that continued investment in renewable energy projects not only contributes to cost savings but also plays a crucial role in reducing the country's reliance on fossil fuels.
