Standing Committee on Industries & Production takes action against PSM irregularities

A meeting of the Standing Committee on Industries and Production was held under the Chairmanship of Mr. Asad Umar.

The Standing Committee discussed the case of Pakistan Steel Mills (PSM), Karachi and unanimously recommended that the Ministry of Industries & Production must send the reference to the National Accountability Bureau, regarding the irregularities and corruption in Pakistan Steel Mills Karachi.

The Standing Committee also expressed its concerns over, not paying the salaries and pension to the employees of the PSM and recommended that the M/o I&P must ensure to release the salaries and pension to the employees of PSM.  

Members who attended the meeting; Mr. Asad Umar, MNA (Chairman), Mr. Qaiser Ahmad Sheikh, MNA, Dr. Shezra Mansab Ali Khan Kharal, MNA, Chaudhry Riaz-ul-Haq, MNA, Mr. Rana Muhammad Qasim Noon, MNA, Ms. Sajida Begum, Mr. Abdul Hakeem Baloch, MNA, Alhaj Shah Jee Gul Afridi, MNA and Mr. Iftikhar-ud-Din, MNA.
