SMBL rebrands as Bank Makramah Limited, effective from November 27

November 23, 2023 (MLN): The name of Summit Bank Limited (PSX: SMBL) has been changed to Bank Makramah Limited, effective from November 27, 2023, as disclosed in the latest notice issued by the local bourse.

Furthermore, the National Clearing Company of Pakistan Limited (NCCPL) has assigned the new security symbol 'BML' in response to the bank's request.

To recall, the Board of Directors (BoD) of SMBL decided to change the bank's name on July 17, 2023.

Moreover, SMBL through its notice issued on November 13, also informed the local bourse that the certificate of incorporation on change of name has been issued by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) subsequent to the grant of no objection by the Finance Division.
