Sindh Government to announce lockdown - Sources

March 21, 2020 (MLN): The Sindh Government will be announcing complete lockdown for at least 2 weeks starting tomorrow night.

According to sources, general stores, pharmacies and food stalls will be allowed to remain open.

Restaurants will remain closed and delivery and take away will also be disallowed.

Furthermore, the Sindh government has written to the Ministry of Interior to allow the deployment of Pakistan army to aid civil power in the province.

The CM Sindh is expected to announce these measures soon.

Earlier Senator Murtaza Wahab had tweeted “Time for some tough decisions. CM Sindh has discussed with Governor Sindh, Corps Commander Khi, DG Rangers & IG Sindh to ensure full implementation of Govt’s decision of keeping people at their homes. Sindh Govt will ensure that grocery & medical shops remain open”.
