Shaza Fatima urges Saudi tech companies to explore opportunities in Pakistan

May 07, 2024 (MLN): While talking to Saudi tech companies delegation, the Minister of State for IT and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja commended the initiative aimed at nurturing a cooperative and welcoming environment for Saudi businesses entering the Pakistani market.

According to a press release issued on Monday, Minister of State for IT and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja met with the visiting delegation of Saudi IT companies.

"We are dedicated to offering a stable and supportive framework. We encourage all Saudi companies to explore opportunities for partnerships and joint ventures (JVs)," stated Shaza Fatima.

State Minister for IT Shaza Fatima urged Saudi delegation to capitalize on the synergies between Pakistani technical proficiency and the access to the Saudi market, accompanied by the potential for valuable investments.

To unlock new pathways for Saudi investment in Pakistan's rapidly growing IT industry, Asif Peer, CEO & MD of Systems Limited (PSX: SYS) has engaged in insightful discourse with Ibrahim Almubarak, Deputy Investment Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The meeting, which also included Ahmad Farooq, Ambassador of Pakistan to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, focused on deepening the trade connections between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

The discussions were particularly forward-looking, with an emphasis on expanding collaborative ventures within the IT sector.
