Several Sugar mills report positive financial results for 1QFY19

January 28, 2019 (MLN): Several sugar mills have issued their financial earnings report for the three months ended December 31, 2018. While most of the companies reported profits for the 1QFY19, others landed in losses on account of companies’ inability to control both core and non-core expenses.  

Shahmurad Sugar Mills Limited reported the highest figure for profits at Rs. 391 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2018, and stated its Earning per share at Rs. 18.54 for the said period.

On the contrary, Sanghar Sugar Mills Limited suffered the most in terms of earnings as its losses for the said period reached Rs. 109 million for the period under review. The company stated its Loss per share at Rs. 9.2.

Al-Abbas Sugar Mills Limited disclosed bottom-line earnings of Rs. 368 million for the said period, with its Earning per share reported at Rs. 21.24, while Habib Sugar Mills Limited announced profits of Rs. 270 million, and stated its Loss per share at Rs. 1.8 for the said period.

Noon Sugar Mills Limited affirmed profits of Rs. 34 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2018, and stated its Loss per share at Rs. 2.11 for the said period, whereas Shakarganj Limited stated losses of Rs. 68 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2018, and stated its Loss per share at Rs. 0.55 for the said period.
