SC Verdict: Supreme Court disqualifies Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif

In a historic decision given by the Supreme Court, the Judges have disqualified the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. 

Mr. Nawaz Sharif is the second Prime Minister who has been disqualified due to the Panama Papers.

Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and Captain Safdar, who is an MNA, were also declared unfit for office.

The Supreme Court bench said that on the basis information, cases would be opened against Finance Minister Ishaq Dar; MNA Captain Muhammad Safdar; Maryam, Hassan and Hussain Nawaz; as well as the premier.

KSE-100 dropped 719.48 points in anticipation of the verdict. The market touched an intra-session low of 44757.16 points, touched a high of 45905.76 points.

The volume traded totaled 53.7 million

The value traded stands at 4.3 billion in the first half of the trading.
