SBP reserves rose by $392.8m in a week

July 06, 2023 (MLN): The foreign exchange reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) rose by $392.8 million or 9.65% WoW to $4.46 billion during the week ended on June 30, 2023, according to the data released by the central bank on Thursday.

The increase in SBP reserves was due to receipt of official GoP inflows.

Similarly, the country's total reserves rose by $404.7m or 4.33% WoW to $9.75bn.

The reserves held by commercial banks rose by $11.9m or 0.23% WoW to $5.28bn.
