SBP reserves rise around $46m to $11.42bn

February 06, 2025 (MLN): The foreign exchange reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) increased by $45.9 million or 0.40% WoW to $11.42 billion during the week ended on January 31, 2025, data released by State Bank of Pakistan showed on Thursday.
On the other hand, the country's total reserves decreased by $8m or 0.05% WoW to $16.04bn.
The reserves held by commercial banks fell by $53.9m or 1.15% WoW to $4.63bn.
In the current fiscal year, SBP-held reserves have increased by $2.03bn or 21.61%.
Meanwhile, the current calendar year has seen a decrease of $292.2m or -2.5%.
