SBP reserves rise $29.8m to $11.73bn

January 16, 2025 (MLN): The foreign exchange reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) increased by $29.8 million or 0.25% WoW to $11.73 billion during the week ended on January 10, 2025, data released by State Bank of Pakistan showed on Thursday.

Similarly, the country's total reserves increased by $73.1m or 0.45% WoW to $16.45bn.

The reserves held by commercial banks rose by $43.3m or 0.92% WoW to $4.73bn.

In the current fiscal year, SBP-held reserves have increased by $2.34bn or 24.87%.

Meanwhile, the current calendar year has seen an increase of $14.5m or 0.12%.
