SBP reserves fall $76.3m to $11.37bn

January 30, 2025 (MLN): The foreign exchange reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) decreased by $76.3 million or 0.67% WoW to $11.37 billion during the week ended on January 24, 2025, data released by State Bank of Pakistan showed on Thursday.
Similarly, the country's total reserves decreased by $137.2m or 0.85% WoW to $16.05bn.
The reserves held by commercial banks fell by $60.9m or 1.28% WoW to $4.68bn.
In the current fiscal year, SBP-held reserves have increased by $1.98bn or 21.12%.
Meanwhile, the current calendar year has seen a decrease of $338.1m or -2.89%.
