Re-composition: NCPL, NPL & HABSM added to KSE-100 index

March 16, 2024 (MLN): The Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited has conducted the Re-composition exercise of the KSE-100 Index from September 2023 to February 2024, a notice issued by the local bourse on Friday revealed.

In accordance with the relevant index rules, three adjustments have been made to the index.

The incoming companies are Nishat Chunian Power Limited (PSX: NCPL), Nishat Power Limited (PSX: NPL), and Habib Sugar Mills Limited (PSX: HABSM).

The three to leave are; Archroma Pakistan Limited (PSX: ARPL), Gul Ahmed Textile Mills Limited (PSX: GATM), and JDW Sugar Mills Limited (PSX: JDWS).

NCPL and NPL have replaced ARPL and GATM based on the Market Capitalization Rule, while HABSM has taken the place of JDWS based on the rationale of the Sector-Based Rule.

The above changes in the KSE-100 Index will take effect from Monday, April 01, 2024.

In addition, the notice also listed the revised list of 100 companies in the recomposed index.
