Punjab Government launches warehouse-recovery programme for farmers

Punjab Government has launched "Agricultural Warehouse-Recovery Programme" on the basis of Public Private Partnership to protect the prosperity of the farmers and agricultural commodities.

The spokesman of Agriculture Department has said that farmers will be able to store their agricultural commodity to store at warehouses, under this programme.

He said this facility is being provided in order to store crop product safe and to save it from natural disasters, Radio Pakistan reported.

The warehouses will also be able to store commodity for long time with the help of modern technology.

The farmers will be required to open account at the nominated bank. Farmers can also contact Punjab Agriculture Helpline Numbers 0800-15000 and 0800-29000 in this regard.
