PTCL to explore investment opportunities in microfinance sector

July 20, 2023 (MLN): The Board of Directors (BoD) of Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PSX: PTC) has authorized the company to explore potential investment opportunities in the Microfinance sector of Pakistan, the company’s filing on the local bourse revealed today.

“In case of any development in this respect the PSX shall accordingly be notified as per applicable laws,” the notice further reads.

This notice is issued in accordance with Sections 96 and 131 of the Securities Act, 2015, and Clause 5.6.1 of the Rule Book of the PSX.

PTC provides telecommunication services in Pakistan.

It owns and operates telecommunication facilities and provides domestic and international telephone services and other communication facilities throughout Pakistan.
