PSX to hold live DR drill for improved trading availability

February 17, 2025 (MLN): The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) has issued a notification to TREC Holders and brokers, advising them to ensure preparedness for an upcoming live Disaster Recovery (DR) drill aimed at testing the availability and resilience of trading services from PSX’s DR location.

According to the notice, PSX had previously conducted a DR mock drill on May 11, 2024, to assess the readiness of both PSX and TREC Holders in handling DR scenarios.

The upcoming transition to live service availability from the DR site is a critical step in ensuring uninterrupted trading services and enhancing the overall resilience of Pakistan’s capital markets.

PSX has advised all TREC Holders to review and validate their systems by April 25, 2025, to ensure seamless integration with the DR environment.

Participants are encouraged to test both their primary and DR sites to confirm functionality and readiness.

The stock exchange emphasized the importance of compliance with DR protocols to maintain high availability and reliability of trading services.
