April 11, 2025 (MLN): The benchmark KSE-100 Index concluded Friday's trading session at 114,853.33, showing a decrease of 1,335.88 points or 1.15%.

The index traded in a range of 1,297.46 points showing an intraday high of 115,937.38 (-251.83) and a low of 114,639.92 (-1,549.29) points.

The total volume of the KSE-100 Index was 250.71 million shares.

Of the 100 index companies 28 closed up, 67 closed down, 4 were unchanged, while 1 remained untraded.

Top losers during the day were EFUG (-6.68%), AGL (-4.61%), EFERT (-3.82%), PIBTL (-3.54%), and UBL (-3.53%).

On the other hand, top gainers were PGLC (+8.83%), HCAR (+7.77%), HALEON (+7.15%), GLAXO (+7.10%), and PSX (+5.80%).

In terms of index-point contributions, companies that dragged the index lower were UBL (-266.35pts), FFC (-188.03pts), EFERT (-144.77pts), ENGROH (-122.54pts), and MARI (-115.31pts).

Meanwhile, companies that added points to the index were GLAXO (+61.90pts), PAEL (+32.64pts), SYS (+30.73pts), HALEON (+29.36pts), and BOP (+24.07pts).

Sector-wise, KSE-100 Index was let down by Commercial Banks (-420.04pts), Fertilizer (-356.72pts), Oil & Gas Exploration Companies (-285.80pts), Inv. Banks / Inv. Cos. / Securities Cos. (-99.15pts), and Cement (-61.06pts).

While the index was supported by Pharmaceuticals (+135.59pts), Cable & Electrical Goods (+32.64pts), Glass & Ceramics (+16.18pts), Tobacco (+6.57pts), and Automobile Assembler (+6.17pts).

In the broader market, the All-Share Index closed at 72,073.69 with a net loss of 598.39 points or 0.82%.

Total market volume was 458.59 million shares compared to 638.09m from the previous session while traded value was recorded at Rs31.63 billion showing a decrease of Rs5.30bn.

There were 296,442 trades reported in 441 companies with 137 closing up, 244 closing down, and 60 remaining unchanged.

To note, the KSE-100 has gained 36,408 points or 46.41% during the fiscal year, whereas it has decreased 274 points or 0.24% so far this calendar year.
