April 15, 2025 (MLN): The benchmark KSE-100 Index concluded Tuesday's trading session at 116,775.50, showing an increase of 385.47 points or 0.33%.

The index remained positive throughout the day showing an intraday high of 117,362.22 (+972.19) and a low of 116,645.68 (+255.65) points.

The total volume of the KSE-100 Index was 215.17 million shares.

Of the 100 index companies 52 closed up, 46 closed down, while 2 were unchanged.

Top gainers during the day were ATLH (+9.37%), POML (+8.06%), TRG (+6.28%), UNITY (+5.04%), and IBFL (+4.23%).

On the other hand, top losers were PGLC (-7.23%), BNWM (-4.64%), PSX (-4.18%), HALEON (-3.31%), and GLAXO (-2.81%).

In terms of index-point contributions, companies that propped up the index were ENGROH (+107.98pts), LUCK (+76.97pts), OGDC (+48.77pts), TRG (+46.73pts), and PSO (+44.24pts).

Meanwhile, companies that dragged the index lower were HUBC (-40.93pts), MEBL (-31.27pts), MARI (-30.86pts), FCCL (-27.65pts), and GLAXO (-27.57pts).

Sector-wise, KSE-100 Index was supported by Inv. Banks / Inv. Cos. / Securities Cos. (+88.54pts), Commercial Banks (+85.81pts), Technology & Communication (+77.23pts), Oil & Gas Marketing Companies (+69.79pts), and Oil & Gas Exploration Companies (+54.10pts).

While the index was let down by Pharmaceuticals (-58.47pts), Power Generation & Distribution (-44.75pts), Tobacco (-11.84pts), Glass & Ceramics (-10.82pts), and Miscellaneous (-8.40pts).

In the broader market, the All-Share Index closed at 72,978.76 with a net gain of 197.61 points or 0.27%.

Total market volume was 479.47 million shares compared to 484.55m from the previous session while traded value was recorded at Rs30.45 billion showing an increase of Rs3.02bn.

There were 310,773 trades reported in 446 companies with 218 closing up, 174 closing down, and 54 remaining unchanged.

To note, the KSE-100 has gained 38,331 points or 48.86% during the fiscal year, whereas it has increased 1,649 points or 1.43% so far this calendar year.
