March 25, 2025 (MLN): The benchmark KSE-100 Index concluded Tuesday's trading session at 116,633.16, showing an increase of 193.54 points or 0.17%.

The index traded in a range of 1,026.67 points showing an intraday high of 116,904.55 (+464.93) and a low of 115,877.88 (-561.74) points.

The total volume of the KSE-100 Index was 158.06 million shares.

Of the 100 index companies 44 closed up, 51 closed down, 4 were unchanged, while 1 remained untraded.

Top gainers during the day were SNGP (+3.51%), PSO (+2.94%), OGDC (+2.76%), FHAM (+2.15%), and HUBC (+2.02%).

On the other hand, top losers were IBFL (-6.26%), TRG (-5.78%), PABC (-4.41%), BOP (-2.29%), and SRVI (-1.93%).

In terms of index-point contributions, companies that propped up the index were OGDC (+128.80pts), HUBC (+90.34pts), PSO (+83.94pts), MEBL (+54.16pts), and SNGP (+36.63pts).

Meanwhile, companies that dragged the index lower were SYS (-56.72pts), TRG (-47.73pts), UBL (-47.58pts), MCB (-34.80pts), and SRVI (-17.85pts).

Sector-wise, KSE-100 Index was supported by Oil & Gas Exploration Companies (+147.83pts), Oil & Gas Marketing Companies (+120.50pts), Power Generation & Distribution (+98.56pts), Fertilizer (+57.46pts), and Pharmaceuticals (+32.19pts).

While the index was let down by Technology & Communication (-116.45pts), Commercial Banks (-40.05pts), Cement (-26.01pts), Leather & Tanneries (-17.85pts), and Miscellaneous (-17.63pts).

In the broader market, the All-Share Index closed at 72,527.01 with a net gain of 160.21 points or 0.22%.

Total market volume was 268.10 million shares compared to 311.97m from the previous session while traded value was recorded at Rs19.46 billion showing a decrease of Rs1.50bn.

There were 199,292 trades reported in 436 companies with 155 closing up, 214 closing down, and 67 remaining unchanged.

To note, the KSE-100 has gained 38,188 points or 48.68% during the fiscal year, whereas it has increased 1,506 points or 1.31% so far this calendar year.
