PSO refutes stopping supplies to IPPs and Railways

April 7, 2022 (MLN): Pakistan State Oil Company (PSO) has refuted the news item circulating in the media that the company has stopped FO and HSD supplies to IPPs and Railways.

In a clarification statement issued today, the company while refuting the news said that it is continuously supplying furnace oil to all its contractual customers as per the supply plan. In addition to contractual customers, PSO is also obliging and supplying furnace oil to non-contractual customers to enable smooth power generation.

Further, PSO has not suspended HSD Supplies to Pakistan Railways and is ensuring continuous supplies as per contractual agreements.

Despite financial constraints and mounting receivables, as a responsible national company, PSO continues to ensure an uninterrupted supply of fuel to all stakeholders, the company added.
